Stress, both within and outside of the workplace, is a major concern in our society today. It is a major contributor to a lack of engagement and burnout, as well as more serious conditions such as anxiety and depression. Many of our coaching clients are struggling with this and could use our help in learning how to better manage the stress in their lives.

But it is not just our clients who are dealing with the harmful effects of stress. Many of us as coaches are wrestling with this ourselves. And how can we effectively help our clients learn to better manage the effects of stress on their lives if we are not engaging in healthy practices to manage our own stress?

In this session, we will explore some of the causes of and challenges associated with the consistent exposure to stress. We will also discuss the importance of regularly engaging in a process of renewal to offset the effects of the stress we experience. We will explore the concept of renewal through the lens of holistic balance. During the session we will conduct and discuss the results of a holistic balance exercise, a powerful tool we can use with our coaching clients as well as for ourselves.

  • This session is aligned with the ICF Core Competencies of Embodies a Coaching Mindset, Evokes Awareness, and Facilitates Client Growth.
  • This session will enhance participants’ ability to effectively manage their own stress and to more effectively coach their clients in doing the same.
  • Participants will receive and work with a Holistic Balance Exercise tool designed to facilitate renewal and sustained well-being.
