Exploring the impact of Cultural Diversity in our coaching

As coaches we bring our own cultural heritage into our coaching. We may have the opportunity to coach clients from different cultural heritages or for whom this is a challenge they want to explore. Exploring culture will help us understand our own biases and how best to coach those with different backgrounds to be the success they want to be.
We will be using research from a number of different areas including from Erin Meyer, Professor at iNSEAD in Paris who is a leading thinker in the area. We are not experts but practitioners looking to share our thoughts and experiences and some frameworks with the group to facilitate discussions and the sharing of ideas and practices.
Program Learning Objectives:
To use a research based strategic framework to better understand how to navigate cultural differences. To share experiences and best practices of coaching across cultures to develop our DEI capabilities and coaching strategies. To identify ICF Core Competencies that assist our coaching in this area including:
- Cultivates trust and safety
- Listens Actively
- Facilitates client growth
